Everytime I see happy couples and families at parties I can't help but wonder why not me? I would love to have someone to hold at night, a child to care for, a great career. To be a parent that drops their kids off to school and complains about rushing to work and traffic. To have a husband that's busy but takes time to out for a date night or mini vacation away from it all. These things others do as if it's the norm for everyone else...why not me?

I'm 23 years old and after graduating college last year I still can't find a job as a programmer. No internships, no start ups, nothing. I know I'm not that great at it and my grades weren't anything special, but I set my hopes high and I thought I'd at least find something entry level. I want to move out already and have my own thing. I hate that I get rejected from women not only in person but on dating apps too. I've tried everything and my self confidence has really gone way down. Being alone sucks but being alone and rejected constantly sucks even more. I put effort into how I look and talk, and really work on being as genuine as possible and listening, but nothing.
